Hull’s hopes of ascending into the promotion places were dashed as Stoke made it a five season winning streak at the MKM despite mixed results at home (see below) in a competitive , if at times dour encounter in Hull.

Hull came to the game in great form in contrast to Stoke who had only won one of their previous six games.
However the injury ravaged Tigers seemed to struggle from the off with Liam Millar in particular failing to hit his stride in the game and McBurnie seemingly innefectual .

With the table as close as it is the Tigers will be eager to see the return of Geldhart and Belloumi over the next few week’s else a return to mid table mediocrity is on the cards with Sunday’s game against Watford looking like a must win .
Stoke will be hoping this performance may be the start of a decent run which could propel them into the play off places.
